Itinerary – Rajasthan Highlights Tour North India
Sat 9th Feb – 24th Feb 2019 – 15 nights

9th & 10th Feb  –  Arrive New Delhi

  • Arrive at Delhi international airport at approx. 8pm, tour leader to meet and greet group and transfer to hotel
  • Next day morning orientation tour meeting and change money, followed by sightseeing
  • Laid out by the British Raj, the Indian capital is a striking modern metropolis, the grand avenues and stately buildings of New Delhi are rich with history and culture, the Old Delhi has barely changed in 1000 years!
  • Sights: Old Delhi, Jama Masjid Mosque, Mahatma Gandhi Memorial, India gate & much more
  • Evening visit to Sikh Gurdwara temple, a Gurdwara is a place of worship for Sikhs

Stay 2 nights Delhi – Hotel Swaran Palace

11th Feb – Agra

  • After early breakfast, depart in bus to Agra (approx. 3-4hr drive)
  • The Taj Mahal of Agra is one of the Seven Wonders of the World, It’s the history of the Taj that adds a soul to its beauty and magnificence, a soul filled with love and loss and romanticisim
  • After hotel check in, evening take a walk for sunset view of the Taj Mahal by riverside
  • Evening Kalaktriti cultural show and/or visit Music and Art Emporium showroom

Stay 1 night Agra – Hotel Trident

12th Feb  – Agra | Jaipur – The Pink City

  • Sunrise entry into Taj Mahal, and back to hotel for breakfast, then checkout
  • Enroute to Jaipur stop at Agra Fort for sighseeing tour
  • Continue onto Jaipur, popularly known as the “Pink City “is the capital of Rajasthan state, and worldwide famous for unique Architecture, Vastu, Astrology, Forts, Monuments, Palaces, Art and Craft, Culture and last but not least for unique food
  • Arrive check into hotel relax, dinner in hotel

13th Feb – Jaipur

  • Local guide to meet you for days sightseeing
  • Including visiting the City Palace complex and artisian Emporians
  • After lunch at a traditional North Indian restaurant, afternoon free time to relax
  • Early evening Bollywood Film at the beautiful “Art Deco” Cinema Raj Mandir

14th Feb – Jaipur – Amber Fort

  • Today we take an excursion out to the magnificant Amber Fort Jaipur
  • Amber was once the capital of princely Jaipur state, and the fort of Rajput rulers. Maharaja Man Singh, who commenced its construction in 1592 on the remains of an 11th century fort
  • After lunch visit some handicraft Emporians then back to hotel to relax, dinner

15th & 16th Feb – Bundi

  • Off the “tourist track”, a quaint & quiet village
  • Depart early in from Jaipur (approx. 4-5 hrs.)
  • Bundi is a town in the Hadoti region of Rajasthan. It is of particular architectural note for its ornate forts, palaces, and stepwell reservoirs known as baoris.
  • Dinner either in hotel or local restaurant – Stay 2 nights Bundi – Hotel Bundi Haveli

17th Feb – Udaipur – Venice of the East

  • Day of travel – Depart early after breakfast for drive to Udaipur (approx. 6hrs)
  • Arrive check-in hotel, dinner in hotel
  • Udaipur, was Founded by Maharani Udai Singh II in 1559, and is beautifully set around a series of artificial lakes and lavish royal residences.

18th Feb – Udaipur

  • Today will be a local sightseeing tour in & around Udaipur
  • Sightseeing highlights – City Palace Complex, Jagdish Temple, Monsoon Place and a

scenic boat ride on beautiful Lake Pichola

  • Udaipur is also great for yoga, and cooking classes and dinner at the lakeside restaurants

19th Feb – Jodhpur – The Blue City

  • Depart early (approx. 7am) from Udaipur to Jodhpur (approx. 6-7 hrs.)
  • Arrive check in hotel relax
  • based in Thar Desert of the  15th-century Mehrangarh Fort is a former palace that’s now a museum, Set on on a rocky outcrop overlooking this magnificent ancient city, where many buildings are painted the city’s iconic shade of blue.

20th Feb  – Jodhpur

  • Local guide to meet and greet you at hotel for morning sightseeing in around Jaipur
  • Including tour of the mighty Mehrangha Fort
  • Walk through down from fort through local villages to Centre markets

21st Feb  – Jaisalmer – The Golden City (Thar Desert)

  • Depart out the Golden sands of the Thar desert to witness this amazing desert town.
  • Awe at the magnificent town fort and spend time exploring inside the fort with all its local markets and handicrafts

22nd Feb  – Jaisalmer Desert Safari

  • Today head out to the desert for an overnight safari
  • Spend the night in the desert camping with the camel traders

23rd Feb  – Jaisalmer

  • After breakfast in the desert return back to town for another night
  • More sightseeing with local guide in and around the fort

Stay 2 nights Jaisalmer and 1 night desert safari – Hotel TBA

24th Feb  – Jaisalmer to Delhi to Australia

  • Group flight from back to Delhi domestic airport that connect with evening international flight
