Tour Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrive Colombo – Negombo
Group arrives in the evening at Colombo International airport. Taxi bus will meet and greet the group and transfer to the beach side resort in the coastal village of Negombo.
Day 2 – Negombo
Wake up the sounds of the Indian ocean lapping at your door. The day starts with a morning yoga and meditation class on the beach. Breakfast will be long and lazy with free time this first day for everyone to relax and enjoy the resort. Spend time around the pool, talk a stroll around the local village or maybe indulge in an Ayuredic massage.
Day 3 – Dambulla / Polonnaruwa Cultural District – Amaya Lake Eco Resort
After breakfast the group will depart in an air con bus north to Sri Lanka’s cultural capital in the Polonnaruwa district. (approx. 4hr drive) On arrival in the town of Dambulla lunch will be had a traditional Sri Lankan restaurant before checking into the resort. Rest of day free. With sunset yoga class.
Days 4 – 7 Amaya Lake – Yoga Retreat Programme
06:00 – 07:30 Morning Yoga, Meditation Ayurveda treatments
07:30 – 09:00 Group Breakfast by the Pool
10 :00 – 11:00 Free time for reading and relaxing
11:00 – 12:30 Ayurveda Cooking Lesson and discussions
12:30 – 13:30 Lunch
14:00 – 17:00 Local activities including nature walks, canoeing on Lake
17:30 – 18:30 Kirtan, Chanting, Satsang
19:00 – 21:00 Dinner
Day 8 – Madulkelle Tea & Eco Lodge
Breakfast at Hotel then depart for drive to the beautiful hill and tea district of Madulkelle en route we visit the ancient Dambulla Rock Temple, which was donated by King Walagambahu in the 1st century BC to Buddhist monks. Continue onto Madulkelle and Check in hotel. Sunset yoga around the pool.
Day 9 – Madulkelle Tea & Eco Lodge
After sunrise yoga and breakfast. At approx. – 09:30 Hrs leave on the tea tour transportation will be by tuk tuk to learn and experience the harvest, production and brewing of a fine cup of Ceylon tea.– Return to Hotel for Lunch – After lunch relax for some time and get ready for trekking with bird watching experience.. Experience local hill country life, dotted with Hindu Temples. Return to Hotel for Dinner
Day 10 – Uda Walawa National Park
After breakfast depart Kandy for drive to Udawalawe (approx. 4hr drive) Check into resort. Have lunch and afternoon time depart in a jeep for the Wildlife Safari. The next morning, we visit the Elephant Orphanage and witness the morning feeding and visit the museum.
With approx. 500 herds of elephants, wild buffalo, sambar deer and leopards, makes this Sri Lankan park a rival to the savannah reserves of Africa and is certainly the one park not to be missed!
Day 11 & 12 – Galle Fort
Man and nature have joined forces in Galle Fort to produce an architectural work of art. The Dutch built the streets and buildings, the Sri Lankans added the colour and style and the result is an enchanting old town that is home to dozens of art galleries, quirky shops and boutique cafes.
After breakfast check out of hotel early for drive south to the coastal Galla District. (approx. 4 hr. drive) Check into the beautiful hotel overlooking the Indian ocean.
Rest of day free for rest, massage and sunset yoga /meditation class.
Evening dinner in the hotel
Sunrise yoga in the lush gardens overlooking the beach followed by breakfast.
Morning sightseeing and shopping tour of Galle Fort.
Day 13 – Transfer to Colombo international airport
Tour Package cost includes
